P-Money’s new album sets off in a new direction to 2007’s ‘Magic City’. No longer just a Hip Hop producer, P-Money effortlessly jumps into a House tempo with his trademark warm, organic sound.
MC’s David Dallas and PNC come into lend P-Money a hand taking care of the uptempo numbers, while also keeping ties with Scribe, the two lay down the strongest downtempo track on the album, ‘Greenlight’ and appearing on the Rap remix of the title track.
Instrumental tracks ‘The Soul’ and ‘Angels’ show off P’s new sound, with a firm four-four House beat and dashes of Electro and Nudisco. The super gems on the album come from collaborations with newcomer Vince Harder, who appears on almost half the album. ‘Dance With You’, as well as the title track, show P’s pop-sensible and dancefloor ready style with Vince Harder showing some real versatility, just taking hook duties in the former, and owning the whole of the latter.
All together, the lineup of vocal talent and the new direction musically is a pleasing headphone groove and a dancefloor bomb all in one stylish package. P-Money, you’ve done it again!
