Eric Lau kicks off the remainder of his 2011 releases with a free download titled “This Is For You”, as a thank you for the overwhelming support received for his two previous instrumental efforts. Lau also offers a rare video insight into how he puts together an idea and an explanation of the equipment that he uses in his home studio (Lau HQ).
Built around a sample from Ahmad Jamal, “This Is For You” showcases some of the most basic, yet fundamental techniques in Hip-Hop beat making, drawing influence from many classic producers from the genres golden era.
