Buff1 and DJ Rhettmatic of The Beat Junkies combine as Crown Royale for an album that will definitely please Detroit & West Coast hip hop fans. The production mirrors DJ Rhettmatic’s style as a DJ, very versatile, tight, funky and of course the cuts are nice!
Buff1 points out some real truths on ‘World go Crazy’ and asks the people to question the law with ‘Say What’. I can see ‘We Gotcha’ working really well in the club or as a live performance. Fans of straight Dertroit/West Coast Hip Hop will be satisfied for the short term as it is pretty constant all the way through however it may lack that ‘edge’ or ‘wow’ factor for other listeners. This a solid first effort from Crown Royale which will please the head nodder at the club or for the peeps who want a full length to chill to at home. I look forward to hearing what the next progression is.
