On this episode of Rhythm Roulette, Mass Appeal travels up to “The D” to meet up with the King of ’97 Cool Edit chopping— Apollo Brown. After meeting up at The Record Graveyard, Apollo threw on the ceremonial blindfold and dug out Marlon McClain’s “Changes” from 1981, a record from The Futures, and a gospel record courtesy of Sister Lucille Pope. Using his tried and true formula of Cool Edit, Apollo began cutting and pasting until the heat came out his dated, semi-busted monitors. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Apollo is sticking to his guns.
