A darker and more hip hop orientated work contrasted to his New Territories album. “The Mission” EP is deep and spacey, Guilty Simpson fits the vibe perfectly with some solid work on the mic. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The production has shades of Slum Village, Foreign Exchange and Electric Wire Hustle, soulful and rough at the same time with an overall appeal to any fans of the Future Hip Hop tip. I can see people digging this in a lounge listening setting as well as in the clubs. “The Mission” is the standout track with a dope hook and serious bassline setting the tone for the rest of the EP. Looking forward to more Eric Lau productions as he seems to go from strength to strength.<\/p>\n
