Young, Gifted & Broke members Lui Tuiasau, Tom Scott and Dandruff Dicky have rearranged themselves into The Average Rap Band and if you’re gonna miss “Girl Songs”, well then go play “Girl Songs”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Regarding their new EP the “Stream Of Nonsensesness”, Lui and Tom have stressed in interviews that it’s not about consciousness or ‘Descartes’ which I had to Google – and learn that he is\/was the philosopher who was dubbed the father of modern\/western philosophy, the guy who wrote “I think, therefore I am”, in French, of course.<\/p>\n What inspired the concept of personally sending out CDs to people wanting an EP? <\/strong> How many CDs have you guys sent out do you know? <\/strong> How many of your friends or people do you know have written in to get an album?<\/strong> Do you keep memoirs\/diary? <\/strong>
\nWe just wanted to give the music some value. Since CDs are basically coasters and the market’s fucking saturated. We just wanted to make it a personal experience like it was back in the day. I guess some people have never had the experience. Never picked the liner notes up and read the lyrics while it’s playing. Related the art work to the sound etc. We wanted to give people that experience.<\/p>\n

\nShit, our friends don’t care about our music. I’d be worried if they did. It’s mainly fans. But some of our fans are kind of like our friends anyway. You start to get to know people on a first name basis and shit. Especially when they been there since day one. So shout out to those lunatics.<\/p>\n
\nOnly the audible type. I’d never make a song called talking to my diary though. But yeah, that’s kind of a large reason why we make music. To sort of document our lives. Because our short term memory game is mad weak due to years of substance \/ emotional abuse.<\/p>\n
