Remi and Sensible J teamed up to make last year’s Australian Music Prize winning album “Raw X Infinity” and now the pair are taking things a step further officially launching their very own label, House of Beige Records.
While Remi’s debut was released on the imprint the pair say that they wanted to be able to work with other artists they admired in a meaningful way. “While House of Beige will release records that we think are amazing,” Remi explains, “It’s a whole lot more than that. It’s a space where we can recognise our incredibly talented homies regardless of label.” Sensible J adds, “To now be able to recognise and release other people’s music that we love is a long-term dream come true”.
The first release on the label will be Hip Hop heavyweight Hau’s “The No End Theory”. Due out on September 25 the record features recent singles ‘KILL.I.AM’ and ‘Skip Hop’ as well as a bunch of guests including Che Fu, Oddisee and LTC. “I’m extremely stoked about this release because this is the album I’ve always wanted to make,” Hau says. “I had a vision for it and J & Dutch helped me turn ideas, as wacky as some were, into a reality.”
