Shortee Blitz is the UK’s #1 Hip Hop and Club DJ and one of the scene’s most popular personalities. He is a tireless supporter of urban music and, through his numerous performances with artists ranging from De La Soul & L.L. Cool J to Jay-Z and Nas, and he has firmly established himself on the international scene.
Shortee’s signature skills of cutting, scratching and mixing as well as an ability to consistently rock the dance floor is recognized by the industry and his global fan base.

Having won the ‘Best DJ’ award at the MOBOs in 2003 and subsequently being recognized as the UK’s ‘Best Hip-Hop DJ’ and ‘Best Hip-Hop Personality’, Shortee is no stranger to award nominations or award ceremonies. In 2007 & 2008 he was nominated for ‘Best Radio DJ’ (U.M.A.) and ‘Best DJ’ (MOBO). His long-running, specialist Hip Hop radio show on Kiss FM has also been widely acclaimed. He’s been holding down a 2nd weekly slot, for the last 3 years, an R&B/Hip Hop/Dancehall Mixshow called Kiss Presents…The Mixtape (Fridays: midnight – 02.00) Shortee’s association with Kiss FM stretches back over 13 years, where he got his start as a mix D.J. for the show he now hosts and his shows have been nominated for countless awards.

Consistently in high demand, Shortee Blitz has toured his innovative style around the world to destinations as diverse as Dubai, Hong Kong, Kenya, Malaysia, Albania, Papua New Guinea, New York and Australia to name only a few. Shortee also DJ’s extensively throughout the UK and Europe, regularly holds down residencies in Ibiza and Cyprus throughout the summer and has brought his talent to venues ranging from The Big Chill Festival to Big Day Out in Val D’Isere (Switzerland). He has also hosted for The Princes’ Trust Urban Music Festival and D.J’d at the Nike Battlegrounds basketball and Joga Bonito football skills competition, which was hosted by Eric Cantona featuring football gods Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney to name a few.

With his commitments to his radio shows on Kiss FM and his extensive DJ tour set to continue throughout 2009, Shortee is also broadening his media horizons. He’s been a regular contributor to magazines such as I-DJ, Touch and Hip-Hop Connection. He can be currently seen on Kiss TV as well as The D.J. Takeover slot on MTV Base.
