Germany’s Crazy Planet Records presents BASE FM Boat Parties, setting sail on Auckland harbour 8th and 22nd of February 2014 for two exclusive events with world-class International DJs, MCs, a fully stocked bar and quality underground sounds.
Hosted by Base FM, these boat parties are designed to inject a touch of global flair into our high seas, offering ticket holders a taste of the Mediterranean summer down-under with a twist of kiwi flavour.
Jasmin ‘Jazz’ Ziedan, Base FM’s Managing Director and Australasia label manager for Crazy Planet Records explains, “Earlier this year I traveled to a bunch of festivals in Europe and was blown away by one in particular on the Croatian coast called ‘Outlook’. They have boat parties as a festival ticket clip-on and an opportunity for labels and club nights to present their own exclusive event on a boat! It’s all about bass music culture, and as a punter you get to see some of the biggest names in music in a unique, intimate environment. It was one of the best events I’ve ever been to and I had to bring this idea to NZ!”
Ensuring international credibility reigns, Base FM has teamed up with Australian label and touring agency Grindin’ to deliver two world-class DJ’s especially for the Boat Parties.

Saturday 8th of February
London based DJ/Producer Eric Lau comes aboard with a mix of superb neo-soul Hip Hop. Lau has worked with the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Guilty Simpson and performed alongside Erykah Badu, Questlove and Robert Glasper.
